It’s been nearly five months since I’ve blogged. If you’re wondering what happened, I got a little depressed and overwhelmed.
I started a new job in November which, at the beginning, had me working twelve hour days and random schedules which left me drained. I went from working from home, able to plan my days around my workouts, to hectic schedules, long shifts, and no time to eat properly (I was eating nutritious meals every 2-3 hours). I started to skip workouts and grab foods that were convenient. After a few weeks of “trying” to make it all work, I eventually stopped working out and consciously planning my meals.
The result?
I’m happy to say I haven’t gained any weight ( I’m thankful muscle burns more energy than fat); however, I have recently (about two months now) been having a hard time going to bed at night. My mind has been foggy, I’ve been feeling sluggish, cranky and have had bouts of anxiety and episodes of depressive thoughts.
It’s time to stop drifting and start focusing again. A few things I plan on focusing on for the remainder of 2012:
1. Restart working out and eating properly.
2. Continue paying off all consumer debts and simplifying my life.
3. Begin actively pursuing and building an online business that will allow me to quit my current job and work from home again.
